48 Hour Anime Night
It’s official.
After a process that started about 4 weeks ago, after it failed in the finance board, and an appeal to the judicial board, we finally have approval and funding for a 48 hour anime night this weekend.
Facts:
48 hour anime night starting 5pm friday and ending 5pm sunday
It will be located in MSV
There will be no anime meeting Friday; just meet us at 5pm in MSV lounge to kick off the 48 hour anime night.

It is my great pleasure to announce the first JFAS Anime Night of the semester. This will be held on Saturday Oct 6 In the MSV lounge. While this Anime night will not be funded we will still be providing free food and drinks. You are welcome to bring your own too. We are accepting donations so that the officers can buy food for everyone. Please contact me at gnd.zer0@gmail.com if you are willing to donate even a dollar to our cause. This anime night will be used to show the finance committee that we can help our selves. Future anime nights will all be funded. A 48 Hour anime night is in the works.

New member email.
To keep you all informed: I sent an email out to the new members that was slightly different from old ones to give them a little boost to come to meetins. In-case any of you need that same vitamin B shot here it is:
This email is to all the new members who signed up at our table a week or so back. I apologize for the delay. I have some great news though. First let me introduce my self. (The Guy that was at the table near the end) The president of JFAS. My name is Chris and I’ll be happy to meet you all this Friday… any of you who can make it. We are having a special meeting in the MSV lounge (contact me if you need assistance getting to the lounge or don’t know where it is). This week we will not only be watching anime but incorperating a new program into the regular schedule. I like to call this MSI or Media Sharing Initiative. In short it is the result of so many request that we do somethin gactive in theclub other then just watch anime. For the first try of the MSI program I encourage any of you who have manga to bring some .. digital or paper… to share with others. Bring your favorite.. or bring the ones you hate. Either way the idea is that we get to know each other through our likes and dislikes. We will swap manga during the meeting and then return it when its over. This is not mandatory and if you just want to watch anime or check out other peoples manga .. by all means do it. If any one wants to stop by my room I’m located in Grad 304. Any one is welcome to stop by as I am in my room most likely any day besides friday after 5.00 or 6.00 pm

This, is a result of our recent initiative to add to the JFAS experience. This will be my first post on this site. It could not have come at a better time either. It turns out that difficulties caused by the CCC program for registering rooms has put us out of our usual room for the Friday of this week and the next. Spurred by this incident, an idea to include manga in our meetings by my treasurer, and just a tiny bit of my own imagination, I have come up with the MSI (Media Swap Initiative ). Members have consistently commented that they wish there was more interaction in the meetings. They wished they could actually do something. MSI is the answer. My plan is to promote, at first, a manga swap of sorts. The Idea is that members will bring their manga… and then read others why they read theirs at the meeting. Those interested in this should bring manga, digital or paper, and then share with others their manga, the reason they chose the titles, and a little about themselves. Lets finally get to know each other. As for the meeting, this week and next, you will find us at the MSV Lounge (the one with the big screen t.v) .. contact me at gnd.zer0@gmail.com if you have any questions or need help finding it.

Coming this Wednesday (or today by the time I wrote this) is the IIT Organization Fes. This is our chance to make the new incoming students aware of the club… well so far I haven’t heard anything from our current President but I wrote this just to let everybody know.

A new semester draws near
And so school will start soon. Coming along is the end of the summer season and we are waiting for all the good stuffs (anime & manga) the fall season will bring.
Anyway, I started this webblog for it seemes to be more useful than the current homepage. Perharps the club officers will feel more comfortable posting here.
